    #1 Why was the Corsica discontinued?
    There was a law passed requiring all cars to have side impact bars starting in 1997. Chevrolet decided it would cost too much to redesign the Corsica and Beretta, so they cut them from the lineup.

    #2 How many Corsicas were made?
    Finally, the numbers everyone has been asking for...

    1988= 291,163
    1989= 26,578
    1990= 13,001
    1991= 187,981 SEDAN
    2,525 HATCHBACK
    1992= 144,833
    1993= 148,232
    1994= 143,296
    1995= 142,073
